Regent Holidays, known for its expertise in off-the-beaten-track travel, has unveiled a new ski itinerary for winter 2025/6, expanding its portfolio beyond traditional Alpine destinations and giving the option to take a holiday to the emerging ski nation Kazakhstan.
The new six-night “Peaks & Powder” package is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s cultural capital, and blends urban exploration with skiing across three distinct resorts. Guests stay at the centrally located Kazzhol Park Hotel and begin with a guided city tour featuring the Green Bazaar, local museums, and panoramic views from Kok Tobe Hill.
The itinerary includes three full days of skiing at Shymbulak, Oi-Qaragai, and Ak-Bulak—each situated within 15 to 40 kilometres of Almaty. On day six, travellers swap snow for sandstone with a full-day excursion to the dramatic Charyn Canyon before returning to the UK.
Prices start from £2,760 per person (based on two sharing) and include return flights from London to Almaty, accommodation with breakfast, all transfers, ski passes and equipment hire, guided city sightseeing, and the canyon tour.
