Snowsport England Launches ‘Way2Snow’: Affordable Real Snow Lessons Ahead of Winter 2025

Snowsport England has today unveiled Way2Snow, a major new initiative aimed at making skiing and snowboarding more accessible and affordable for beginners across the UK. With packages starting at just £299 for adults and £249 for juniors, the national campaign offers 12 hours of expert instruction on real snow — just in time to prepare for the 2025 winter season.

A first-of-its-kind collaboration, Way2Snow brings together some of the biggest names in UK snowsports, including The Snow Centre (Hemel Hempstead), SnowDome (Tamworth), Chill Factore (Manchester), as well as the Ski Club of Great Britain, Disability Snowsport UK, and youth charity Snow Camp.

Participants will learn to ski or snowboard at one of three indoor real snow venues, building up the skills and confidence needed to take on their first mountain holiday. In addition to expert tuition, the package includes:

  • Free equipment hire (skis/snowboard, boots, helmet)
  • Exclusive discounts on ski holidays with Neilson and Crystal Ski
  • Retail offers from Snow+Rock, Ellis Brigham and The Snowboard Asylum
  • Free membership to the Ski Club of Great Britain
  • Half-price Snowsport England membership
  • Free tickets to the UK’s biggest snow shows this autumn

The campaign also includes dedicated sessions for disabled participants and those with additional needs, delivered by Disability Snowsport UK with one-to-one support.

James Arnold, CEO of Snowsport England, described the programme as a “game-changer” for UK snowsports:

“Snowsports are the perfect sport to try for fun, whatever your age or fitness level. Similar to the Couch to 5K programme, Way2Snow is specifically designed to take someone with little or no experience to a proficient level, guided by expert instructors at all three centres at a heavily reduced price.”

He added that the timing is perfect for those looking to hit the mountains this winter or get inspired ahead of the next Winter Olympics, now just months away.

Virginia Anderson, CEO of Disability Snowsport UK, also praised the initiative:

“Skiing and snowboarding are very accessible for all kinds of learners. It’s all about the right equipment and instruction tailored to your needs. Through Way2Snow, we hope to open the slopes to even more disabled people and learners with additional needs.”

A portion of each booking will support both Disability Snowsport UK and Snow Camp, helping more people access the transformative power of snowsports.
