Peak Performance Turns London’s Whites Grounds into a Snow Park for Max Palm Launch
Last Saturday, Swedish mountain brand Peak Performance brought the mountains to the city with an extraordinary takeover of Whites Grounds skatepark at London Bridge, celebrating the launch of its first signature collection with professional skier Max Palm.
In a bold feat of urban creativity, the skatepark was transformed into a snow-covered freestyle playground — filled with 30 tons of real snow, marking the first time the venue had ever been converted into a winter wonderland.
A Day of Urban Freestyle Action

The event kicked off at midday with free park-skiing tuition from Peak Performance pros and the Jibworx freestyle team, attracting skiers from across the UK for one-on-one coaching.
By mid-afternoon, the energy ramped up as crowds gathered to watch a high-octane street skiing showcase. A lineup of international athletes hit a custom 6ft-high rail feature and wall ride, with each pulled by a motorised winch for maximum airtime. The atmosphere was fuelled by music from DJ Hugo Taylor and lively commentary from MCs Scott Penman and Marcus Attwood.
World-Class Athlete Line-Up
Competing riders included:
Max Palm (SWE), Fabian Agartson (SWE), Paddy Graham (UK), Chris McCormick (UK), Tom Greenway (UK), Ella Hall (UK), Deja Parker (UK), Kieran Kerr (UK), Annabelle Santerre (NAM), Adam Kuch (NAM), Garret Capel (NAM), Yan Le Gros (FRA) and Felix Klein (NZ).
Each brought their unique flair to the event, impressing the London crowd with spins, slides, and creative lines on the bespoke setup.
Après at Hop Kingdom

Once the snow settled, the celebration continued next door at Hop Kingdom, London’s hybrid skatepark and brewery. The après-ski atmosphere was set by BOOM Club and Brighton-based DJs Sonic Juncture, while skateboarders took to the indoor ramps and rails for an evening session that kept the energy alive well into the night.
Setting the Tone for the Season
This marks Peak Performance’s second major London activation, following the Covent Garden rail jam that celebrated the opening of its first UK store in September 2024. The event underlines the brand’s commitment to bringing ski culture to unexpected urban spaces — and sets the tone for an exciting start to the Northern Hemisphere’s winter season.
