Banff Upper Hot Springs has been a cherished retreat for locals and visitors alike since 1886, that’s even further back than the town’s century-old ski tradition. Its naturally heated mineral waters were first discovered by railway workers as they worked their way west across the country. The site quickly became central to Banff’s identity as a health and wellness destination, drawing visitors from around the world to soak in its soothing, sulphur-rich waters. In 1932, the iconic bathhouse was built, blending Art Deco design with alpine charm. Over the decades, the springs have remained a symbol of relaxation and rejuvenation, offering panoramic views of Sulphur Mountain.

Together, these resorts provide over 8,000 acres of terrain, all accessible via a single lift pass and regular shuttle service, making Banff a superb base for varied, snow-sure skiing and spa culture in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
