The tailor-made ski holiday experts Ski Independence are returned to Austria this winter, whilst also expanding their choice in Canada, Italy and Switzerland.
“We’d seen an increase in enquiries for Austrian ski holidays, so have added selected Austrian resorts to our product range for the coming winter,” said company boss Michael Bennett, “These include Ischgl, Lech and Obergurgl (pictured asbove) and we’re adding more Austrian product all the time.”
The company say their resort choice is based on the finest hand-picked hotels, in high altitude destinations:
Ski Independence has also been growing their offering in Italy as it continues to grow in popularity, with new luxury hotels in the Dolomites, such as the Hotel Gardena Grödnerhof in Ortisei (Val Gardena, pictured below) – fantastic for foodies and families – and the Falkensteiner Hotel Kronplatz – a great pool and leisure facilities – as well as the addition of the Aosta Valley, which has also just been added to the Ikon Pass.
“Italy has also proved popular so we now have a wide range of resorts and ski areas, with the Aosta Valley being the latest addition,” Michael, who is the thirds generation of the family to run the travel business established by his grandfather in the 1950s, confirms.
The company also has some new destinations in Switzerland. At Les Crosets, Arosa, and Laax and also offers Andermatt Alpine Apartments, their first self-catering apartments in Switzerland.
Finally, across the Atlantic in Canada, where Ski independence has long specialised, the company is highlighting the latest addition to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, with one of the most spectacular settings of any hotel on the shores of Lake Louise, there is a brand-new BASIN Glacial Waters thermal bathing experience to enjoy this winter. Inspired by Nordic traditions, guests are invited to choose from a thoughtfully curated menu of bathing circuits – each designed to reconnect you with nature in its purest form.
